Board Member Profile: Jack Schurlknight
|
Jack Schurlknight is a life long resident of Berkeley County and grew up in the Macedonia community and graduated from Macedonia High School.
He attended Limestone College and is a 1989 graduate of Leadership Berkeley. He is also a 2003 graduate of NRECA MIP Program at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.
Jack has been employed with Berkeley Electric Cooperative, Inc. for over 27 years and currently holds the position of Office Manager at the district office in Goose Creek.
Positions Jack has held in the community include President of the Berkeley Chamber of Commerce, President of the Moncks Corner Exchange Club, and Vice President of the South Carolina Pinto Horse Association.
Currently Jack serves on the Board for the Foundation for Education for Berkeley County. Berkeley County Farm Bureau Board, State Equine Advisory Board for the South Carolina Farm Bureau, Advisory Board Member for Berkeley County 4-H Horse Club and a member of the Moncks Corner United Methodist Church.
He is married to Elizabeth "Beth" Johnston Schurlknight, who teaches at Berkeley Intermediate School. They have one daughter Larabeth who is an eight grade student at Berkeley Middle School.
